it’s amazing how many concepts will run through my head before actually putting anything on paper or in the computer. but even then, i only present a handful at most. and furthermore, the client only chooses one. so what about all the work that was put into a project, the unwanted comps, sketches, ideas? i think i will start to do B-SIDE posts with the work that hasn’t been chosen, starting with a recent poster project for Fullerton College Art Gallery.
Danny Gregory will be speaking at Fullerton College on May 8th. He is an inspirational creative director / illustrator / story teller / journaler and i had a ton of fun using his illustrations to advertise his Artist Talk on campus. below are a gang of comps that didn’t get bought — the b-side:
